I had the privilege to meet with\u00a0Shimon Peres\u00a0several times. He was a political giant and a peace hero, one of the wisest politicians and human beings I have ever known <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri\"><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">and one of the founding fathers and symbols of modern Israel. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri\"><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: 'Georgia',serif\">His passing away is a huge loss for Israel, but also for progressive politics all across the world.
